In the halls of my high school, long before I dreamed of transforming the insurance industry, I penned my first publication under this very title: “Writing is Living in the Future.”
Little did I know then how predictive those words would become.
The act of writing, I believed and still do, is a testament to our existence. It’s a way of projecting our thoughts, our very essence, into a future we may never see.
As long as records endure, our words stand as proof that we were here, that we thought, that we mattered.
For years, my thoughts have flowed onto paper and into digital notes, a private archive of ideas and observations. I’m still shipping some of my physical archive from Türkiye to Canada.
But they remained just that – private. Today, that changes. Welcome to the public debut of my collected thoughts, a cornerstone of my professional consultancy and a platform for honest, data-driven discourse.
Here, on this digital crossroads of insurance, technology, and management, I commit to sharing plain & straightforward truths and well-researched insights.
My goal?
To foster respectful, fact-based conversations that push our industry forward.
Recently, I observed a self-proclaimed industry thought leader sharing misguided opinions about generative AI and its potential applications.
It was a stark reminder of the need for voices that cut through the noise with clarity and accuracy – echoing what a friend aptly described as “…giving a reality check.”
This experience became the catalyst for an experiment and a statement.
In just 48 hours, leveraging the very AI tools often misunderstood or misrepresented – including Claude 3.5 Sonnet and OpenAI’s ChatGPT 4 – I built this website.
From concept to domain registration, from content creation to going live, this project stands as a testament to the power and efficiency of these technologies when wielded with expertise and purpose.
This rapid deployment isn’t just a technological feat; it’s a philosophical stance.
In an age where misinformation can spread at the speed of light, the ability to quickly produce and disseminate accurate, thoughtful content is crucial.
It’s about living in the future, yes, but also shaping it responsibly.
The future of insurance – indeed, the future of how we manage risk and innovate in our increasingly complex world – is being written right now. And through this platform, we’re all holding the pen.
Welcome to OGC Labs.
Welcome to the future.
